As part of Black History Month, Birmingham Trades Council reflects on necessary antiracism around the most violent element of British racist infrastructure – the border.
With rising hostility towards refugees, and the entrenched violence of deportation and detention, we look back at historic action taken by communities and what we need to do today.

Our panellists include:

Muhammad Idrish, who has been involved in historic antideportation activity in Birmingham
Dr. Nisha Kapoor, author of ‘Deport, Deprive, Extradite’, lecturing at Warwick University
