The pandemic and its appalling mismanagement by this government and other agencies is having a terrible impact on education: staff, students and learning; in schools, communities, colleges and universities.

In all sectors of education, students are facing disruption to their learning, uncertainty about their future, risks to health and wellbeing and many struggles with economic hardship.

Staff in all sectors, in teaching, admin and support roles, are battling with unsafe working conditions, increased workload, threats to job security and hugely raised stress and anxiety.

These are just come of the challenges. Union branches and activists are doing a lot, often behind the scenes, to protect education workers and students. Come to the meeting to find out what’s happening. Join in the discussion and be part of plans to resist the attacks.

Main speakers will talk about action in schools, colleges and universities. They come from UCU, NEU and UNISON. A parent will address the impact on students and parents, and campaigns to resist. There will be other contributions from the floor, and you will have time to ask questions and join in the discussion.

Together we can defend everyone who learns or works in education. Join us on January 21.
